COLOUR PRINTS - No 1. Flowering Beauty - by Gillian Temple
Taken with Canon R5 24-105 Lens (my main go to lens) at ISO 400 F9 1/160 Sec. This is a portrait shot taken in a studio setup with main light and an infill light with a grey backdrop.

Taken up close to the model asking the model to look down, but not too much as I still wanted to see a bit of the eye. In postproduction (Photoshop) the image is then slightly desaturated, adding textured layers then flowers and changing the blending modes. Printed and mounted by myself on a Canon ip8750 printer.

MONO PRINTS - No 1. The Thinker by Gillian Temple
The Thinker - Taken with a Canon R5 24-105 Lens (my main go to lens) at ISO 160 F8 1/160 Sec . This is a portrait shot also taken in a studio setup with a main light and an infill light with a black background and a very small amount of light behind the model to separate the model from the background. Tweaked in photoshop then turned into black and white.

Printed and mounted by myself on a Canon ip8750 printer.ering Beauty - Taken with Canon R5 24-105 Lens (my main go to lens) at ISO 400 F9 1/160 Sec. DIGITAL PRINT IMAGE (DPI) - No.1 Drovers by David Scott
DROVERS : This is a composite of eight images mostly taken in the same location apart from the dusty atmosphere, which was an unusual cloud formation outside my house, which lent itself for the moody dusty scene I aimed to create.

I have so many files from the rodeo days I have been attending in Queensland, I do enter plenty of bull riding and bronco riding images, I am constantly aware of my surroundings, there are loads of things happening at these events and I will literally take hundreds of images throughout the day, knowing I have a vast array of files to play with on Photoshop (I fill my memory cards with as much as possible), I like the ruggedness of the rovers lifestyle and hardship and was looking to create that with this image, and yes I was looking for an in your face very wide panoramic to give it a cinematic feel , I did look at giving it a bit more sky or more foreground to create a less of a panoramic but it just didn't work for me, I thought it works well as a wide pano image. After flattening all the layers I desaturated the image, only allowing for a bit of colour (which I painted back in with the history brush) on the focal point; the drover in the blue shirt and the lighting throughout the image gave it a nice, subdued atmosphere but with a strong side light on the cowboy.
Equipment Used: Canon EOS5DS, 70-200mm Canon @ f2.8.

NATURE DPI No.1 Curlew in Flight by Ken Goodfellow
This photo was taken on 11 November 2024 at Vane Farm, Loch Leven
when there was a large number of Curlews at the reserve. I used the
tracking focus mode to follow the single bird as it flew across the
reserve. This allowed the focus to remain locked on the bird as I
panned following the birds flight.

The focus remained fixed to the birds eye keeping it sharp. I have the
tracking focus mode allocated to one of the buttons on the back of my
camera (similar to back button focus). I used a fast shutter speed, set in
manual mode, along with the f number set at the lowest setting allowed
by the lens. I left the camera to adjust the ISO and under exposed by
1/3 of a stop preventing the highlights from blowing.
The RAW image was developed in Lightroom in accordance with SPF
nature rules and reduced to 1600max by 1200max pixel format to
comply with DPA rules.
