Our second trip in July was to Dawyck Botanical Gardens, Stobo, near Peebles.
After meeting at Halbeath Park and Ride to car share, the weather was perfect and made for a very pleasant drive down to the Scottish Borders.
On arrival we made a customary stop at the cafe, before going around the gardens.
Dawyck Gardens is a five star rated garden, located in the hills of the Scottish Borders, spread over 65 acres, with woodland and burnside walks. It is renowned for its seasonal displays of snowdrops, bluebells, rhododendrons, azaleas, blue poppies and autumn colour.
On our visit we were able to take photos of all the foliage, woodland walks, and the many orchids which were in full bloom.
